Rice grown through this stork-friendly method has been named Kounotori Mai (stork rice) and is a premium brand of rice. This special rice has a soft earthy aroma, great texture and flavor.

Koshihikari was first released in 1956 after 12 years of research and reform and became the most cultivated rice in Japan. Koshikikari variety has been the most preferred Japanese rice in Japan for its sheen, firmness and strong flavor.
